Entrepreneur
One of the most hotly debated
topics is whether entrepreneurs are
born or made.
Brian Clarke,
cofounder of Fort Spring Farms, is
arguably someone who has been
gied with an entrepreneurial mind.
His entrepreneurial journey began
when he was about twelve years
old and preparing to start first form
at Manchester High School.
It was the beginning of summer and
all he had was $2,000. He knew
that he would need about $9,000
by the end of summer but only one
queson was ringing in his mind,
“How would he turnover $2,000 to
reach his $9,000 goal?”.That’s when
he noced a business opportunity
within his family. His parents, sister
and people in his community used
phone cards a lot. Why not use that
$2,000 to buy some phone cards at
a wholesale price and sell them for
profit? He followed this path and
ended up with $12,000 by the end
of summer - $4,000 more than he
had planned.

Brian and a team of six other like-
minded businessmen partnered to
launch the rebranded version of

Why Fort Spring Farms?
Farming has been my parents’
bread and buer for as long as I
can remember. While I was
overseas for job-related training, I
put pen to paper and came up with
an idea to beer market their
produce to the modern client. This
revamped approach had to focus
on convenience and quality and
meant that I had to find a strong
team of partners who would make
this vision a reality.
