until I found the right one. I also ordered
fabric from overseas to create a collection
that was truly unique. You can see how
everything came together by watching the
runway show. To view that show you can

and try to forge connections with them. We
tend to view forging connections with our
competitors as being bad for business.
However, it’s a good way to learn from and
support each other.
Other books I would recommend are:
1. The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg
2. Eat that Frog by Brian Tracy
3. The Game of Life and How to Play It by
Florence Scovel Shinn
4. Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff by Richard
Carlson 5. Market, market, market!
What tips would you give to
entrepreneurs?
1. If you have a passion and want to open a
business, go for it but be prepared to
sacrifice a lot. Once you have a plan,
especially as a skilled person, you can use
many of the powerful tools available to grow
your business. Social media is where I get
90% of my clients. Utilizing the skills and
network of my friends and family has also
been a big help. However, your passion
won’t form a successful business if your plan
wasn’t good enough or you didn’t work hard
enough.

2. Create a circle of genius which has your
closest friends and family. Faith is hard to
come by and this circle of genius will help
you get through those moments when you
feel like throwing in the towel. In those
moments, find one of them to talk to or take
yourself out of the environment...do
something fun!
3. Networking is important; the connections
you establish can help you in the long-term.
