Due to its horizontally opposed configuration, the
SUBARU BOXER engine has a flatter profile and can
therefore be placed lower in the vehicle than other
engine configurations. This creates a lower centre
of gravity for the entire vehicle, which then sets the
stage for more balanced handling, flatter cornering
capabilities and superior stability overall.

The symmetrical layout of the system delivers power more smoothly
