1 Safe Exit Assist ( SEA ) is designed to assist vehicle occupants by detecting approaching vehicles to help reduce door-opening accidents . If an approaching vehicle is detected , the system will display a warning light on the door mirror . If an occupant opens the door to exit , the system provides additional visual warning on the meter display and an audible alert . Safe Exit Assist will not prevent the door from opening and is not a substitute for safe , attentive exiting . See your Owner ’ s Manual for complete details on system operation and limitations . 2 Availability varies by trim level . See your dealer for details . 3 Blind-Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are systems designed to assist the driver by monitoring the rear and side areas of the vehicle during a lane change or reversing and are not a substitute for safe and attentive driving . 4 Parking Support Brake and Parking Support Brake with pedestrian detection are not substitutes for safe and attentive driving . System effectiveness depends on many factors , such as vehicle maintenance , pedestrian speed , weather and road conditions .
