3. Screw the towing hook into the threaded hole until its thread can no longer be seen.
. Be sure to remove the towing hook after towing. Leaving the towing hook mounted on the vehicle could interfere with proper operation of the fuel pump shut off function when the vehicle is struck from behind.

4. Tighten the towing hook securely using the jack handle and wheel nut wrench.
CAUTION
. To prevent deformation to the bumper and the towing hook, do not apply an excessive load to the towing hook.
. For models equipped with the BSW / RCTW system, when towing another vehicle, touch“ Blind Spot Warning( BSW)/ Rear Cross Traffic Warning( RCTW)” to deactivate the system. The system may not operate properly due to the blocked radar waves. For details about how to turn on / off the Blind Spot Warning( BSW)/ Rear Cross Traffic Warning( RCTW), refer to“ EyeSight / Driving Assistance” FP202.

After towing, remove the towing hook from the vehicle and stow it in the underfloor storage compartment.
Fit the towing hook cover on the bumper.
