Software settings screen
● During software update installation, the screen may flicker. However, this is not a malfunction.
2. When installation is complete, touch“ Close” on the confirmation message.
● If the update procedure fails, refer to the“ Troubleshooting” section.( →P. 156)
3. Turn the ignition switch to OFF and exit the vehicle.

. Close the driver’ s door and lock the doors, then move at least 10 feet( 3 m) away from the vehicle to prevent the key from interfering.
5. After at least 5 minutes have elapsed, start the engine again.
● The new software will be applied.
Updating the vehicle’ s systems other than the Subaru connected services system
Please ask your dealer to update the vehicle’ s software, such as the DCM( Data Communication Module in vehicle cellular connection) software and the 3D high definition map data software * 1.
System equipped with DCM( Data Communication Module in vehicle cellular connection) only: You may also update the system software via DCM( Data Communication Module in vehicle cellular connection). The update process involves downloading and installing a software update * 2. Note that system functionality will be restricted during installation.
* 1: Please check with your dealer for specific details on the update content.
* 2: Depending on the software update content, your radio station presets and volume settings may be reset by the update process.
● Update using DCM( Data Communication Module in vehicle cellular connection) may not be available in some countries.
Download update
1. When a message asking if downloading is desired or not is displayed, touch“ Download”.
