However, it is not malfunctioning if the indicator light turns off after the electronic parking brake is released. . The electronic parking brake indica- tor light may flash after the electronic parking brake is frequently applied and released. However, the electronic park- ing brake system is not malfunctioning if the light turns off after a short period of time.
