HYBRID SYSTEM 45 battery output.
CAUTION
. Make sure not to block the highvoltage battery air intake with anything, such as a plastic cover, or luggage. The high voltage battery may overheat and be damaged.
. Do not wet or allow foreign substances to enter the high voltage battery air intake as this may cause a short circuit and damage to the high voltage battery.
. Do not carry large amounts of water, such as water cooler bottles, in the vehicle. If water spills onto the high voltage battery, the battery may be damaged. Have the vehicle inspected by your SUBARU dealer.
. Do not cover the high voltage battery air intake( located on the left next to the rear seat) with luggage or clothes. It is important that no liquids or any other substances or objects be allowed to enter the air intake. Please advise passengers in this area to use care around the air intake to prevent any debris from entering. Doing so may result in overheating or malfunctioning of the high voltage battery.
. When the seatbelt for the rear left seat is not in use, remove it from the window-side belt guide and retract it fully to avoid blocking the high voltage battery air intake.
. Do not cover the high voltage battery air intake with a seatbelt. Store the seatbelt in its holder when not using.
. If“ High Voltage Battery Cooling Performance Reduced” and“ Battery Air Cooling Filter Is Clogged Check Owner’ s Manual” are displayed on the combination meter display, check that nothing is blocking the high voltage battery air intake. If the message continues to be displayed when the high voltage battery air intake is not blocked, clean the high voltage battery air intake to prevent it from clogging. For details, refer to“ Cleaning the High Voltage Battery Air Intake” FP479.
. Clean the high voltage battery air intake periodically to prevent it from clogging. For details, refer to“ Cleaning the High Voltage Battery Air Intake” FP479.
EMERGENCY SHUT OFF SYS- TEM shsab02
When a certain level of impact is detected by the impact sensor, the emergency shut off system blocks off the high voltage current and stops the fuel pump to minimize the risk of electrocution and fuel leakage. If the emergency shut off system activates, your vehicle will not restart. To restart the hybrid system, contact your SUBARU dealer.
