When the vehicle speed is approximately 37 mph( 60 km / h) or more on an expressway, freeways or interstate highways and the vehicle is likely to depart the lane when there is a following vehicle approaching in the neighboring lane, this function assists the driver to turn the steering wheel in the direction which will prevent lane departure, keeping the vehicle in the lane. If the vehicle departs the lane, an interruption screen is displayed that shows which side of lane was crossed, and an alert sounds repeated 3 short beeps.
