DOWNLOAD MAP UPDATE DATA TO A SMARTPHONE
1 . Connect a smartphone to the system via Bluetooth .
� When using an iPhone , it can also be connected using a USB cable .
2 . Start the SUBARU STARLINK application on the smartphone and download the map update data .

2 . Select Update Now ( Update Now ).
� If “ Auto Update via Mobile ” is enabled , the map update data will be installed automatically when the smartphone is connected to the system .
3 . � Yes ( Yes )
4 . After the updates have been completed , turn the ignition switch to the “ LOCK ”/“ OFF ” position and exit the vehicle . 5 . Close the driver ’ s door and lock the doors , then move at least 10 feet ( 3 m ) away from the vehicle to prevent the key from interfering .
6 . After at least 5 minutes have elapsed , start the engine again . � The new map data will be applied .
TIPS FOR THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM
NOTE
� When downloading map data using the SUBARU STARLINK application , make sure there is sufficient storage space on the smartphone for the selected region map data .
� When using an iPhone to perform an update , connecting the iPhone to the system via USB is recommended . In this case , if a genuine Apple USB cable is used , high speed communication is possible .
