Pre-Collision Braking System
NOTE
• Neither first braking nor secondary braking will operate in the following cases . - Vehicle Stability Control ( VSC ) is active . - AT models : The vehicle speed is approximately 1 mph ( 1 km / h ) or less
( When the select lever is in the “ N ” position and your vehicle speed is approximately 2 mph ( 4km / h ) or less ) or 100 mph ( 160 km / h )* or more .
- MT models : The vehicle speed is approximately 1 mph ( 1 km / h ) or less ( approximately 5 mph ( 8 km / h ) or less when the shift lever is in the neutral position and the shift lever is operated or the clutch pedal is depressed ) or 100 mph ( 160 km / h )* or more . *: For Mexico models , 200 km / h .
• If the system detects the brake lights of the vehicle in front , your vehicle will start decelerating earlier than if it does not .
• There are some cases where the first braking is applied for a longer period of time . One of the reasons for this is due to a large speed difference with an obstacle in front . In those cases , stronger or weaker braking control may be activated .
After the Pre-Collision Braking System operation , a message appears and stays on the combination meter display for a certain period of time .
