- Your vehicle is passing a vehicle in your lane or that is close to the lane marking ( motorcycle or other similar vehicle ).
- There is a motorcycle or similar vehicle traveling next to or passing the vehicle in front . - Another vehicle cuts between the vehicle in front and your vehicle . - The vehicle in front is operating a turn signal , hazard warning flashers , or similar light . - Driving at night or in a tunnel when there is a vehicle in front that does not have its taillights on
• Lane Centering Function may be unable to continue operating when the vehicle in front has a unique shape or due to the surrounding environment . - The rear aspect of the vehicle in front is low , small or irregular ( the system may recognize another part of the vehicle as its rear and will determine operation from that ).
• There is an empty truck or trailer with no rear and / or side panels on the cargo bed .
• Vehicles that have cargo protruding from their back ends
• Non-standard shaped vehicles ( vehicle transporters or vehicles with a sidecar fitted , etc .)
• The height of the vehicle is low , etc . - The vehicle in front is a compact car , motorcycle , or other narrow vehicle . - The relative speed difference compared to the vehicle in front is large . ( The vehicle in front pulls away .) - Bad weather ( for example heavy rain , a blizzard or thick fog ) - There is sunlight , headlights , or other light reflecting from the rear of the vehicle in front . - Strong light is coming from the front ( for example , sunlight at dawn , sunset or headlight beams , etc .). - Fluid has not been fully wiped off the windshield during or after washer use .
