FACE PURFECTION BEAUTY LOUNGE 18 STYLE TO THE AISLE Sasha Hailey Kenyatta Beaver I wanted to keep Kenyatta’s look very clean and natural. My style of makeup is very timeless and classic beauty. I chose more neutral tones on the eye because I felt it complimented her skin. I wanted something shimmery on the eye to make the neutral color stand out. I chose the red lip because I used neutrals on the eye and did not want to drown out the look with a nude color. Red is a color that works with any look depending on the shade of red you use. HAIR: ERICKA CHERRIE & JEROME TERRI | MAKEUP: NICOLE WORD-HUGHES PHOTOGRAPHER: ROY COX For Sasha’s look, I again wanted a very clean look because as an artist when I think of bridal I think of very clean polished looks and I try to avoid anything that is too dramatic or trendy unless the bride states that is the desired look. Sasha had great skin, so I opted not to use a cream based foundation. Instead I used a liquid foundation and stippled the product on. I was sure to buff the product into the skin giving it a flawless finish. I only slightly highlighted and contoured Sasha as I did not want harsh lines and a very dramatic look. I also chose shimmery golden and pinky tones for the eye because these colors complimented Sasha’s beautiful baby blue eyes. SPRING/SUMMER 2015 19
