What was the first article of clothing you ever designed?

It was always a wedding gown! Even from the first sketches I did. A friend actually remineded me
the other day that when I was younger I would sit in church and sketch wedding gowns as a 10 year
old. So It’s safe to say that has always been my inspiration.
What are some of your favorite fabrics to work with?
Hands down organza, silk satin organza, tulle, chiffon and lace. Did I mention tulle? It’s my favorite.
I was drawn to certain fabrics and styles. I love Italy and it’s romance so the collection was named
Amore. I mostly just wanted gorgeous lace and fabrics that move.
What is one little known fact about you that would surprise us?
I went to school to become a Registered Nurse, which I am and still do to this day. It’s the other half
of my brain I like to use and I love it as well as wedding gown designing. Needless to say I never get
bored doing just 1 thing.
What inspires you? And does that change?
Finally, tell us a style secret that can make a wedding look magical?
I am inspired by beautiful images, textures, and how something makes me feel. It does change depending on where I’m at in life.
I love tons and tons of candlelight, but in all reality the thing that makes a wedding most special
is making it your own. Incorportate something into your wedding that is part of your heritage, a
family heirloom, your favorite Bible verse, a special song, or something passed down through generations. It’s the special moments that make a wedding magical and memorable. It’s unique when it is
your own wedding. That is something nobody else can duplicate.
What was the inspiration behind your 2015 collection?
How do you define glamour, luxury and elegance?
I think in terms of a wedding gown by the fabric. Luxury and elegance can go hand in hand with
gorgeous silk fabrics and beautiful French lace. I’d say however a woman’s confidence and smile and
