SHOOTING GUIDELINES

• Composition

(lay out, or frame, the scene / objects in a way that is most attractive and works for a square crop)

• Lighting

(ensure that the lighting makes the subject matter look its best, reduses major shadows, does not create tint effects, like yellow hues)

• Angles

(if needed, ask another person to shoot the image, do not do "selfie" style shots if it creates a weird angle or does not capture the full intended space)

• Square Crops

(we use square crops, so make sure all elements are well aligned for a square crop)

• Best Photography

(we want beautiful images that can stand on their own with or without the caption)

• Backgrounds

(consider carefully the backgrounds used: interesting textures or plain, clear
