LETTER & EMAIL WRITING
Always spell out a number that begins a sentence; rearranging the word
order is preferred:
Nine hundred and eighty-three students graduated last year.
Last year, 983 students graduated.
Ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) should be spelled out:
He was the first person in his family to graduate college.
UNLESS it is part of a proper name:
2nd District Court of Appeals
Depend on your message:
When requesting something or asking for consideration:
Respectfully, Your Name
When expressing something:
Sincerely, Your Name
When your message is pointedly about Chiropractic or the profession:
Yours in Chiropractic, Your Name
