German Business in China – Greater Shanghai Innovation Survey 2018/19 Survey partners The German Chamber of Commerce in China (GCC) is the representative body for German companies located in China. The GCC in Shanghai represents German companies in the Greater Shanghai area and in the neighboring provinces such as Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, Hubei and Anhui. The GCC | Shanghai is one of the largest German chambers in the world with nearly 1,600 members. It offers a wide range of business and social activities, tailor-made services, and networking opportunities. The GCC | Shanghai continuously supports, facilitates, represents, and informs members and assists them in growing their businesses in China. The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Shanghai represents the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) in the Greater Shanghai region. On behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany, it represents the overall economic interests of Germany and focuses on the promotion of bilateral trade and investment between Germany and its region. The Chair of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is one of the endowment chairs at CDHK (Sino German School for Postgraduate Studies), Tongji University. The work of this chair is comprised of research, education and industry collaboration in the fields of innovation, strategy and entrepreneurship. Tongji University is one of the oldest and most prestigious comprehensive universities in China, established in 1907 by the German government together with German physicians.
