1. $10,000 Gold plan 2. $25,000 Silver plan 3. $1,000,000 Platinum plan The preferred $1,000,000 Platinum plan gives the best allaround coverage. With a difference of a few dollars between the $10,000 Gold plan and the $1,000,000 Platinum plan, we recommend that each school implement the $1,000,000 Platinum plan. This will provide full coverage for injuries in most cases.
Additional Protection
Catastrophic
For about $1.00 more per student on the $1,000,000 Platinum plan, schools can cover their students for accidents that may cause injury to the brain or spine, including paralysis and coma. This benefit provides up to a total of $500,000 in disability for each student through a payment schedule that lasts up to 10 years.
Tuition Protection Another additional benefit is our Tuition Protection Rider. We offer this at three levels: $2,000, $5,000 and Complete Protection, for a small additional premium. When a student withdraws from school, regardless of the cause, the consequences for private schools, colleges, and universities are the same – financial loss and a potential loss of goodwill. If your school is like many others, your tuition contract obligates parents to pay for an entire year, or at minimum a partial term. Strict adherence to this policy can put your school in a difficult position because student withdrawals are frequently occasioned by family hardship.
Travel Abroad
For schools or families traveling abroad, we offer discounted international medical insurance to protect against accidents and sickness. Student Accident Coverage provides protection while an insured student is on school premises during the days and months that school is in session; traveling directly to or from their residence and school in a vehicle supplied by the school; and participating in or attending activities sponsored solely by the school that are continually supervised by a school official or employee. One-day field trips and religious education classes are included. All high-school interscholastic football activities are excluded, unless the applicable additional premium is paid. Student Accident Insurance is a product most private schools have in place and is widely endorsed and promoted through private school associations.
