Following the launch of the DVD, the primary
pupils had the opportunity to enjoy a
CoderDojo coding session at the College.

Too often we see the workshops, laboratories
and games halls dominated by males and
this needs to change, the gender balance
needs to be addressed. We are using
#ThisAyrshireGirlCan to send out the message
that there are females leading in these areas
and they are a great inspiration to our future
generation! We need to utilise this to show
that if these girls can, then any girl can.
To mark International
Women’s Day on 8 March
and the first anniversary of the
#ThisAyrshireGirlCan initiative,
Ayrshire College Students’
Association launched the official
#ThisAyrshireGirlCan DVD,
with a little help from First
Minister, Nicola Sturgeon.
