The True Meaning of CHistmas?

Christmas Day. The yearly tradition of desperately attempting to stomach sprouts, and feigning joy at your Great Aunt's not so great gift of innuendo ridden socks. Look around and see how many religious references you can find during this Christmas season. Believe me, there won't be as many last year, and definitely not the year before.

But why are we so reluctant to acknowledge and celebrate the birth of Jesus as we always did in primary school during our annual nativity? Yes you know the one! Full of golden memories, (unless you played the back half of the donkey). Even without being religious ourselves, we always found a way to love the story of Joseph, and a heavily pregnant Mary, begging for a place to stay before squeezing out God’s own son. Even if many of us don’t believe it to this day, it’s still an important and warming story. It shouldn’t be forgotten, especially since without it, Christmas would cease to exist.
