Are you currently working on any projects?
I never stop. It is rare for me not to be working on at least one picture. I usually find I have enthusiasms for subjects - so I'll paint lots of pictures of wildlife, for example, then find I'm bored with that and do portraits, then suddenly get interested in something else.
If you could meet any artist, dead or alive, who would it be?
Hmm. To be honest, I'd have to say David Bowie. Apart from being a musical icon and genius, he was a painter and an art collector. I would love to have met him on so many levels. After that, probably David Hockney - not a huge fan of his work, but I greatly admire his views on art. And he has done iPad paintings as well.
Do you produce any other artworks?
I'm an award winning short story writer. In 2014 I published a collection of my stories on Kindle and - briefly - was a bestseller. For one day before Christmas that year I had the 8th best selling story collection on Amazon Kindle, out selling legendary writers like Ray Bradbury. However I found that you a] didn't need to sell many to achieve this and b] when a book is priced at 99p you aren't going to become rich even with a best seller!
Last year I published a physical collection of my stories - '24 Stories' - and this year published a second, rather more experimental, collection 'Somewhat Slightly Dazed' [a title taken from a Bowie song]. I want to write a novel next.
