FINAL EXAMS Per county and local policy: All courses should have a final assessment each semester that covers all state standards and objectives for the course of study as established by the District. No final exams will be given early to any student. Any request for pre-approval for make-up exams must be directed to Mr. O’ Neill. All classes not possessing an end-of-course Georgia Milestone assessment shall have a final assessment which counts as 15 % of the student ' s final grade. GRADING SYSTEM A = 90- 100 B = 80- 89 C = 74- 79 D = 70- 73 F = Below 70 I = Incomplete
An incomplete may be given when a student has not completed course requirements due to an extended illness. If the work is not made up within 10 calendar days after the end of the term, the incomplete work will be counted as zeroes, and a grade will be assigned for the course.
Additionally, conduct grades will be given for each course. Conduct grades will be either satisfactory( S), needs improvement( N), or unsatisfactory( U).

Student grades are updated weekly by teachers and are available to parents through Parent Vue. Parents without Internet access may contact the office in the Freshman Academy to request a progress report.
HONOR CODE / CHEATING Personal honor is a student ' s most valuable possession. The Honor Code was established using the value of integrity. The code was developed by students and teachers and explains all responsibilities, expectations, and consequences regarding dishonesty. Our current policy is as follows:
1. Cheating is defined as copying, giving or receiving any work that is done by someone else. This includes- but is not limited to- homework, tests, projects, research assignments, and reports.
2. Any student found guilty of cheating will receive a“ 0” on that graded item and a conduct grade of“ U” on the report card. In addition, the teacher is required to contact a parent / guardian of the student( s) who committed the infraction. Additional infractions are subject to disciplinary action.
3. Membership in all Honor Societies requires that candidates for admission( and members) be“ students in good standing”. Therefore, a violation of the Honor Code may lead to a student not meeting qualifications for membership--or being dismissed from membership-- from honor societies and / or leadership positions of clubs and organizations.
