With the summer break on the horizon, you may be seeking ideas to put your holidays to
good use - both in terms of enjoyment and future career prospects. Attending a summer
school abroad is an ideal way to explore new boundaries in learning and personal
development. You will benefit from the opportunity to experience a snapshot of
university life as an international student, make new friends from all over the world and
grow through the challenge of living in another country.
With this in mind, we are pleased to introduce to you a selection of summer schools
offered by European universities. These are selective programmes, fully taught in English
and open to motivated students from around the world.
We would also like to draw your attention to our latest report "A Guide to Studying
Liberal Arts in the Netherlands", which is now available to download here. We have often
been asked to work out which is the best option for individual students and the answer is
never simple. This is our attempt to provide some guidelines, however.

The French presidential election 2017 is shaping up to be one of the most
unpredictable in history. What could be a better time for your students to attend a
summer school at Sciences Po, one of the best universities in the world for politics and
social sciences? What makes it even more special is the fact that the last four French
presidents are Sciences Po alumni, alongside with 28 other heads of state or
government.
To be eligible to apply, your students must be at least 15 years old. Successful in
Sciences Po’s renown selective admission process, they will spend two weeks in
Sciences Po’s Reims campus, attending social sciences lectures, French classes and
university methodology workshops. On the weekends, they will join study trips to Paris.
