physiotherapists work to improve a patient’s quality of life
by developing, maintaining, and restoring their movement
and functional abilities.
Types of Physiotherapies
› Musculoskeletal and orthopedic physiotherapy, which consists of
sprains, back pains, arthritis, strains, bursitis, incontinence,
posture, sports and workplace injuries, as well as any conditions
from reduced mobility.
› Neurological disorders resulting from strokes, spinal cord injuries,
acquired brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease.
Physiotherapy may also be helpful following any type of brain
surgery, as well.
› Cardiothoracic which is also known as a name that has been
assigned to asthma, bronchial conditions such as chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and cystic fibrosis.
