On 12th March 2014 at 7.30pm at
St Vincent’s Hall, we have a special talk
by
LARS THARP,
a ceramics expert on the
Antique Roadshow where he has
been appearing for over 28 years.
As this is a special occasion,
ENTRY WILL BE BY TICKET ONLY AT
£7.50 OBTAINABLE BY
TELEPHONING
01706 849203, 812242 OR 350605.
Lars Tharp is Danish by birth but has lived in England
since he was 6. He was a Director and Auctioneer at
Sotheby’s in London for 16 years and is the William
Hogarth Curator and Director and Ambassador for
the Foundling Museum in London, as well as his
many antique ceramics activities.
Two years ago Lars Tharp spoke to a packed Hall and
we were so delighted with his talk that we invited him
to speak again, this time on “Harlots, Rakes and Crashing China”, an introduction to accidental 18th century ceramics and the works of William Hogarth. If
the previous talk is anything to go by, this is going to
be a hilarious and informative evening.
