DARKSKIN VS LIGHTSKIN

My dark skin that I’m in is more than a shade, it’s the core of my history. I am the key source to strength, knowledge, and power. I am 100% black, and no it doesn’t crack. I have what most lack, which is brains from the top to the back. My curves are rare, causing all to stare, my shade is pure, never insecure. The blacker the berry, sweeter the juice”.

In today’s African American culture we have a major issue with prejudice inside of a race. The Dark skin vs Light skin, is a major concern of mine. I don’t get the objective behind this, it has no substance. The truth is that dark skin women are a part of our African Culture, The skin tone is a sign of strength. This is our black origins. The facts show that natural , all black African Americans tend to have , course hair , darker skin , and very shapely. This is something many are envious of. All black women hold power that no other culture of women does. We are idealized, so the shade of one’s skin should not cause for separation in a race.

If you have insecurities about the skin you’re in, DON’T, you are beautiful. You are the fruit of the earth, beautiful, with a natural glow as a women. No matter what someone says always remember your worth.

The world can make you feel unwanted, put you in a bubble and label you. You have to let it be known that you are beautiful, inside out .The shade of your skin color does not define your true character, but makes you the individual you are.

Dark, light, bronze, any shade tone of skin color, regardless we all are women who deserve respect and love. The way one looks should never define how one is treated. You have to be optimistic, strive for what’s right in life.

In conclusion, black is beautiful regaudless of the shade of your skin. We are all African American. I’d like to say the darker your skin the more beautiful you are. You are part of a deep rooted culture and no one can take your natural beauty away.
