SMM : What do you enjoy about being a Dj.

Hiztory: I love making people escape from the world and get lost in the moment. There's nothing like playing that song to make you forget, make you, dance and have you on the floor looking crazy, but loving every second of it. That's the life of a real Dj .

SMM : Any advice for the young minds who want to follow you in your foot-steps

Hiztory: Yes, learn the history of djing. Also learn about the music you are planing to spin, get an understanding on how much of an impact you have on people when playing music. Stay open when it comes to the genre of music you listen to. Remind yourself that every song has a message be it good or bad. Never be afraid to step out of the box .

SMM : What direction would hip-hop go to in the future

Hiztory : Even with all the unproductive songs being made now, I still see hip-hop taking a turn for the better. It's reaching all new highs and bringing a whole new world to people who love music . I really can see hip-hop being taught in our school, even in colleges

SMM : So where is Dj-Hiztory from?

Hiztory : Born and raise in Trenton,Nj ... I love my city.

SMM : How did you come up with the name Dj-hiztory

Hiztory : Well I started out as Dj Drew. In 2000 a couple of my friends and myself, were involved in a real bad car accident going to gig in Philly. My right hand man, Dj Kashif lost his life in the accident. I came to Floria to get away from the city for a couple of days. I started doing gigs here. I saw Kayne West's Through the Wire video and the picture of him in the hospital was the same picture of me. I hears him say "This is History in the making" and I knew from that point on I wanted to tell my story through music....so His Story was ( Hiztory ) born .

In closing, I would like to thank Street Music Magazine for taking the time out to interview me and giving me a chance to share my thoughts and feelings with my fans and the world. I have to give a Big Salute to the The FleetDj's for placing me on the team giving me more opportunities to showcase my talent; to ComeJamDj's for putting on the team as well, showing me nothing, but love and support; to Mal Jones for making me a part of Duval History with the Lyricist Live Cypher. Unfortunately, I can't call out names because there are too many people. Duval has embraced me just like my home town of Trenton so trust me there's nothing, but love to everyone who comes out and show me support.

Thank you again; it's only the beginning.
