SMM : Are you looking to get signed or go the independent route? And Why?

BustBack: I'm with Holiday Jay-P at Revenue Records right now. But I'm looking to get signed with Roc Nation or MMG because I like the way they handle their artists, plus it would give me a opportunity to start my own label, Rock On Records. Revenue Records gives me free reign to do my own thing as well work with other artists in my city. I continue to grow in the music business. I'm learning the business side of it and it's not just about making music it's about promotion, hustle, and creating a market for your music. That's what I want to teach the younger artists when I get my own label.

SMM : What’s your recording process like?

Bustback: My recording process is like a heavyweight championship match. When I hear a beat I'm already thinking up a scheme to kill it. When I'm in the studio I think I'm Brock Lesner a beast. I see Tupac, Biggie, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Nas, and Jay Z all in my head telling me get it BustBack. I feel like I'm the greatest of all time when I’m in the booth. You have to think like that or nobody will take you serious. I get me a Gatorade towel and I'm ready to fight even when I'm recording a serious song or something for the ladies. I go hard because you never know if it's gonna be a hit or your last song ever, so my advice to all artists is go hard until you make a hit.

SMM : What do you like to do in your spare time?

BustBack: In my spare time I love to play basketball. I think I'm Jordan or Iverson when I'm on the court but my friends beg to differ lol. I love to go out with my homeboys Terrance and Mike. Those are my aces right there. I also spend time with a lot of the youth at times back in my old neighborhood of Harborview encouraging them to stay in school and make something of themselves. When I'm not recording or performing I'm playing video games. I am a beast on that Madden. Watching TV, chilling with my mom or just enjoying this Duval lifestyle, thanking God that I'm still here.

SMM : What are your goals as an artist, what would you like to achieve in this music industry?

BustBack: My goals as an artist are to win a diamond award a Grammy bet award bet hip hop award perform at the collosium in my city perform in a bet hip hop cypher and to be know as one of the all time greats in my city as well as one of the best of all time I want to use my influence in music as a inspiration to artist of all colors creeds ages and races to show that no matter what people think of u what's u got going on u can do anything u put your mind to I want the kids that get picked on looked over harassed and abused to say I can over come this and achieve my dreams I've been through a lot in my life and I don't feel sorry for myself and I don't want my fans to feel sorry for me either I want my fans to say BustBack keep pushing
