CEE NYLE : Duval County is important 2 me because regardless of what anyone has 2 say about my city good or bad, this is my home... i will never be 1 of those artist who make it out & not give back... There is an abundance of talent here, but a strong lack of knowledge pertaining 2 the business side of things... A lot of indie artists in my city get used because they are so desperate 2 be the "Best in the city"... So many get caught up in all the local stereotype that if you are not careful you will become engulfed in being competitive with your own city instead of being competitive with the world... I would like 2 be the 1 artist from Duval who can change that mindset...

SMM. What is next for Cee Nyle ?

CEEE NYLE : Now that my legal troubles are over I am completely focused...My supporters will be seeing & hearing alot more from me musically...Last month i dropped "Mosquitoes" featuring viral sensation "Revo ZMF' & i must say the track is holding its own... with the success i've been having i have been able 2 have doors open from every direction.... I am currently being shopped by 5 different labels at the moment... the demand for sound is becoming so high i have no other option but 2 drop new music & new visuals... I have also teamed up with music business consultant Cliff "Brownzno" Brown an attempt 2 educate artists 2 help them get their careers to the next level... we will be traveling the nation 2 assist them in networking, branding,& marketing... dates TBA... stay tuned...:

SMM : Any advice you would give to younger artists trying to follow in your footsteps?

CEE NYLE : Know the business... if u dont know the business, study it... do your

research... Everyone smilin with you aint always smilin 4 you... Always know your surroungings & if you dont believe in nothing else... Believe in yourself!

SMM : SMM : We hear a lot of people saying hip-hop is dying. Do you feel like you can help revive hip-hop?/ If so, why you do you think so?

CEE NYLE : To "revive" hip hop is such a strong term, but i feel as tho my sound could ignite the flame that will bring that real authenticity back to hip hop... I think the game is missing the Tupacs, B.I.G ,the Rakims, the Trick Daddy era... Everything commercial is pretty much sounding the same. Even tho that sound maybe working 4 now, there aren't really any mainstream artists out there that can capture an audience with their voice alone... That is a quality that God has blessed me 2 have...

SMM : What's your feelings on the Duval County music scene as of right now?

CEE NYLE : I can honestly say the Duval County music scene is in a better place than it wus when i entered 6 years ago...Back then you might could luck up & get your song on the local spotlight at 11pm (that's if you dropped your CD at the radio station in time) it was hard to get live interviews as well... I was one of the fortunate people who were able to help break that barrier for artist to be placed on that platform... Now we are in a different era where artist are now featured on local/regional radio & also television almost at will... The fan base is now broadening because they are allotted more access to our talent... There are a few things that we can still improve on as far as becoming more unified for the right reasons & providing our artists with more knowledge, but in my honest opinion i believe we are headed in the right direction... LUV MY CITY!
