MADLEE
Maddie Gillespie Also known as “Madlee” in the music/performance scene. I’m a 20 year old singer/songwriter from Melbourne’s Western Suburbs. I have been singing since I can remember even talking and I love and enjoy every single aspect of it. I have been Vocal Trained for around 5 years now but had already developed my own sound and style at a young age. I have been dancing for 12 years and acting since 2007. My point is my passion is performing being on stage and bringing people joy and expressing myself in whatever way I would like. The stage name “Madlee” came from the word Medley.
The beginning of my obsession with music began at a very young age as my father has been in a band for 35+ years singing main vocals and playing the bass guitar.I grew up singing songs from every era and every genre but especially rock. A 5 year old knowing all the words to KISS, ACDC, The Beetles, Black Sabbath and many other well-known bands was quite unusual to the other parents and children at my local childcare centre.
My dad would get up every morning before work and sing loudly in the shower, then make breakfast and sing while he made his toast
