BMR Suspension pieces for improved cornering capabilities. The most notable
feature of Code_Blu, though, is the custom, blue candy-painted carbon
panels from Anderson Composites, replacing the OEM hood, grille, fenders
and deck lid. The Anderson Composites carbon panels help reduce the
weight of the car, making for faster and quicker lap times and higher top
speeds on the road course and at 1/2-mile airstrip events, where Elliott
ended up on the podium at every race he attended last year. With the
reduced weight and more power, Code_Blu holds the standing mile record
for a naturally aspirated Mustang at 171.3 mph and outperforms Elliott’s
GT350R—exactly as intended. As for future plans to make the car even
quicker and faster, Elliott intends to add more carbon-fiber body panels
from Anderson Composites, as well as upgrading to a Cobra Jet manifold
for 9,000-rpm capabilities.
