Ready for a Home
Oreo Female | 21/2 years old | Mixed Breed
Oreo is a super fun girl! She loves fetch, going for walks, and learning new things. She knows
sit, down, touch, and is working on stay and rollover. She is moderate to high energy and
needs some physical activity every day. She’s potty trained and has been a fantastic house
guest! Even raising 8 puppies, she has never had an accident in her foster home. She’s very
polite with food and, while she likes to share food, if you’re willing, is not pushy. She has not
stolen anything off counters or plates left within her reach.
She loves playing with other dogs! Oreo will play rough if the other dog allows it but respects
the other dogs’ boundaries if they do not want to rough and tumble with her. She loves tug
of war, but her favorite activity is to play fetch with her red ball/rope toy. She will bring it to
you to throw repeatedly until you put it away. Oreo is very vocal and barks at unfamiliar noises when in the house. She is
improving on this but will need some understanding in her new home as she adjusts. This has been her only issue inside,
she’s perfect when not barking!
When on walks, she is best on a Freedom Harness, to help with her pulling. On a regular walk she does fantastic but
when she’s going somewhere exciting or unfamiliar, she starts to pull. She is fearful of some strangers, usually men who
are staring at her. If the people are walking past ignoring her or glancing/saying hello while continuing to walk, she does
great. She only worries when strangers stop to chat. Loud skateboarders are also a bit scary. She does not have an issue
when the skateboard is ridden by smaller kids, but she’s a bit unsure of unknown teenage boys riding them! She has been
easy to work with on her fears and is coming around, but she will need someone to continue building her confidence.
Due to her breed, previous dog ownership is required.
