I’m low to the ground and a little chubby in my middle age but who isn’t! I’m treat motivated and sometimes I get grabby with them so it would be best if I live with children who are at least 8 years old. I must have been abused at some point in my life because I’ll hit the deck if a hand is raised quickly. The good news is I still crave your love and attention. I’m playful and like to tug and chase toys and I occasionally get the zoomies, but I can also be lazy, especially if I have a bone to chew on. I don’t like to give up my stuff. I don’t get aggressive, but it’s recommended that I go to training as the “drop” command would be good to learn. It’s unknown if I am housebroken or crate trained, but I don’t have accidents in my run. I’m not a big fan of crates, and I can’t live with another dog. I’m a little bit too interested in cats so I shouldn’t live with them. It would benefit my new family to research bully breeds, so they’ll know what to expect when I crash on their couch and into their hearts! Eddie Male | 2 years old | Boxer Mix Hi my name is Eddie! I’m fun, spunky, and full of the zoomies! I love every person I meet and expect them to play with me! I would love to be your partner on hikes, walks, backpacking, camping, day trips, runs…you name it, I’m in! I went to training and now I know commands like down, sit, come, heel, place, and I’m working on following all of these with distractions. I’ll need to continue training and the shelter will work with my new family on things like mouthing or jumping. If I’m going to live with kids, they must be at least 12 years old. I really like other dogs and I learned in training that dogs with my similar play style like me too, but some of the older dogs can’t stand me. For the sake of cats, I can’t live with them because I like to chase them. My trainers say that I am very smart and eager to please. They were sad to see me come back to the shelter but look forward to meeting with my new family to demonstrate all that I have learned! Chowder Male | 2 years old | White DSH Hello, I’m Chowder! People here at WSHS are having a hard time deciding if I’m deaf, hard of hearing, or if I’m just being a typical cat and have selective hearing. This in no way, shape, or form inhibits me in any way! I still seek you out and ask for attention. My favorite is butt scratches! I’m a young boy and love to play! I could probably use play mates in my new home, fur or humans alike! If you think I’m handsome in this picture wait until you meet me in person! I know I will love you – will you love me too? Come on in to see! Flitwick Male | 6 years old | Orange Tabby DSH Flitwick came from a household that had too many cats. Due to this he’s not socialized as well as other cats normally would be. Flitwick was very scared when he first arrived and spent a lot of time in the ISO unit adjusting to being around people and getting healthy. Once we felt he had grown as much as he could, we sent him to the cattery. Every day since then, Flitwick is learning what it’s like to let people in and be loved by them. He can be wary of strangers and likes to watch from a distance at first. He comes out for his wet food, and enjoys a gentle head, ear, and chin scratch. Due to his shyness he must live with another cat. If he lives with a dog, they should be very cat savvy and pretty much ignore cats. Flitwick cannot live with kids under 8 and cannot be declawed due to his shyness. A quiet environment may be the best thing for him. If you have some extra time or a cat that would like a quiet friend, he may be perfect for you! 3
