Guests donated in a jar at the restaurants and the Egg Harbor corporate office gave a 10% match. They donated $923.04. State Farm had an enterprise wide initiative to give back to the community. They did a food and supply drive for the shelter and collected a lot of great donations! Devin Allen of Wheaton had a birthday and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for him. He donated paper towels, food and toys. The employee’s at Uncle Bub’s in Westmont donated 10% of their tips for the month of July to the shelter. They donated $135. Margaret, Olivia and Natalie had a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds of $84.15 to the shelter. Sophie Yob of Glen Ellyn had a birthday and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated cat litter, cat and dog food, treats, toys, paper towels and soap. Hyatt Thrive held a pet food/supply drive for the shelter. They donated food and supplies. Rayne Hicks of Downers Grove turned 10 and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated lots of dog toys. Gifts For You Now collected food and supplies for the shelter. Maddie Daehnke of Downers Grove had a bake sale and donated $117 to the shelter. Celeste at Quilter’s Quest did all of the embroidery for our Barkapalooza Alumni bandanas. The bandanas turned out great! Madi Sisson of Downers Grove turned 15 and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated food and supplies. Alexis, Evie and Ellie had a lemonade stand and donated $135 to the shelter. Alina and Nate had a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds of $22 to the shelter. Benjamin Schmid of Downers Grove had a birthday and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for him. He donated $55. Charlotte Daniels of Glen Ellyn turned 10 and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated food, toys and treats. Oliver and Georgia had a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds to the shelter. The Hattan girls had a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds of $58.75 to the shelter. City BBQ of Downers Grove celebrated their one year anniversary. They donated $632.23 which was 10% of that day’s sales to the shelter. Ada, Elise and Lucy donated $284 to help the animals at the shelter. The Marchetti Family who adopted their dog Lucy from the shelter collected tons of food and supplies for the shelter. Amelia turned 9 and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated food, toys, paper towels, soap, trash bags, treats and money. Kieron Zavaleta of Bolingbrook turned one. His family asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for him. They donated cat and dog food and $35. Gabe and Mia had a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds of $70 to the shelter. Kyri Burritt of Lombard started a dog walking business to raise money for the shelter. She raised and donated $137. The Illinois Credit Union System held a Jeans Day in which employees make a donation to a specific charity and then wear jeans to work that day. They collected donations for the shelter which totaled $190. Penelope, Tallulah, Payton, Thomas, Bear and Kyle donated money to the shelter so that we can help more animals. Citadel Information Management of Westmont held a Shred 4 Rescues shredding event and split the proceeds between several different area rescues. WSHS was one of the recipients of the donations receiving $1,050. Eric and Ian of Riverside turned 7 and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for them. They donated food, beds, toys and paper products. Zachary Weinberg of Glen Ellyn had his bar mitzvah and asked for donations for the shelter. He donated cat and dog food, paper towels, toys and soap. 7
