Tracey and Ellie from Glenbard West High School collected donations for the shelter as part of their government class project. The 4th grade class at the Religious School of Congregation Etz Chaim donated $259.78 to the shelter. Abby Finnegan of Lombard turned 12 and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated dog and cat food. The 1st grade class at the Religious School of Congregation Etz Chaim donated $207.79 to the shelter. The Unitarian Church of Hinsdale held a special Easter Egg Hunt and collected items for the shelter. They donated lots of food and supplies. Kookoo & Smooch of Clarendon Hills did a fundraiser and donated the proceeds of $600 to the shelter. The Johnwick Family Ms. Lyon’s 5th grade class at Whittier School in Downers Grove did a service learning project and donated the proceeds of $435 to the shelter. Logan Rodi of Boy Scout Troop 99 did an Eagle Scout project. They made 15 dog beds for the animals at the shelter. Raegan Solomn of Lombard donated cat toys in honor of her birthday. The Star Wars Collectors Archive and Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society held an archive party and donated the proceeds to the shelter. They donated an amazing $34,877.95! Abby Finnegan Universal Spa Training Academy donated food and supplies to the shelter. The 5th and 6th graders at the Unitarian Church of Hinsdale collected $47 and donated it to the shelter. Pam Testin Maggie Lukes of Downers Grove turned 11. She opted not to give out classroom treats. Instead she purchased $26 worth of products in honor of the 26 kids in her class. She donated cat food, cat toys, dog toys, plates, bleach and garbage bags. Shareen Scheuller and friends from Shar Pei Savers asked for donations from the community for the shelter.
