Denk & Roche Builders matched their donation and donated an additional $500 to WSHS. Ryan Company Anne Desruisseaux of Downers Grove turned eight and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated cat food, dog food and paper towels. Audrey Applegate of Chicago turned one and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated food, toys, litter and money. Egg Harbor Café has a Pay It Forward Program. They chose to make a donation to the shelter in the amount of $422.33. Audrey Applegate In honor of City BBQ’s grand opening, they sold t-shirts and donated the proceeds to the shelter. They also gave us 10% of the proceeds from that day’s sales. They donated $1,313.52. Abby Ciarrachi of Elmhurst had a birthday and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated paper towels, blankets, food, toys, cleaning supplies and $350. Abby Ciarrachi Amelia Sherman of Bolingbrook turned eight and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated food, paper towels, soap, trash bags, treats, toys and money. Arboretum Villages had a pool party for their residents. They held a raffle for a month’s free rent. They donated the proceeds of $314 to the shelter. Ellery and Thora Corbett Monahan of Naperville had a birthday and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for him. He donated various items from our wish list. Maegan Kennedy and Giada Doruff had a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds of $30.79 to the shelter. St. Joseph students In honor of Homeless Animals Day, Anytime Fitness in Downers Grove held a food and supply drive for the shelter. They collected numerous food and supplies. St. Joseph School 5th Grade Summer Math Camp students had a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds of $75 to the shelter. CH Robinson Every month Uncle Bub’s employees donate 10% of their tips to charitable organizations. For the month of August, they chose the shelter and the recipient. They donated $147. Employees from CH Robinson came to the shelter and stuffed goodie bags for Barkapalooza They also donated several dog beds. Two students from St. Rita’s High School in Chicago held a movie night fundraiser for the shelter. They raised and donated over $1,000! St. Rita’s The leader of the Boy Scout Troop 89 of St. Mary of Gostyn in Downers Grove and donated handmade dog toys. Farrar collected donations for the animals at the shelter! Farrar 7
