Male | 1 1/2 years old | American Pitbull Terrier Mix
Hey, I’m Dickens! I’m a fun-loving boy and I don’t have a mean bone in my very sturdy
body! I was originally adopted when I was about six months old, but as I got bigger, my dog
roommate began to dislike my style of play. I love other dogs but the shelter thinks it’s best
if I’m an only pet. I’m just a big, goofy guy who is silly and fun! I’m crate-trained and house-
broken, and have begun some training to learn manners. Like many dogs my age, if I’m left
alone unsupervised, you might come home to a rock star’s hotel room! But don’t worry
because I like my crate and don’t mind being in there when you’re gone. I have a really high
prey drive, so no cats for me. Bunnies and birds better look out, too! The long and short
of it is this: I need to be the only pet, I require a wooden fenced-in yard, my new owner
will have to have had a dog before, and any kids I live with need to be at least 10 years old.

Hi, I’m Lyla! I came here because my owner was ill and could no longer take care of me. I’m
a happy, friendly, playful girl. Cats are just big squeaky toys to me, so you’d best not bring
me home if you have cats. I may do well with a dog, but sometimes I’m too pesky for my
dog friends. I have a lot of energy, like any young retriever. I need a family who will run or
walk long distances with me. I’ve been to training and know all my basic commands. Call my
name and I am by your side. If you are an active family looking for a dog to take with you on
all of your adventures, then I’m the gal for you!

Hi, I’m Mindy. I’ve been staying with a WSHS volunteer until I grew big enough for adoption.
Here’s what my foster mom has to say about me and my brother Mork: “We’ve been fostering
two adorable kittens that are ready to find their forever homes. They’re a little over four
months old and as sweet as can be! They’re brother and sister but they don’t need to be
adopted together. Both are litter box trained and fine with cat friendly dogs. They’re spayed/
neutered and up to date on all shots. Mindy is gray and white. She’ll usually come when she’s
called especially if it involves food. She’s very playful like her brother and likes anything that
moves. She’s also super snuggly and loves attention.” I’ve been raised in a home and now I’m
prepared to go to my forever home. I’m good with kids and dogs and my only requirement is
that I live in a home with another kitty who will be my friend. Ask to see me today!

trust issues now. I put all my trust in my original family and they brought me back because
they wanted to move to a no-pet apartment. Now it takes me longer to size up the people
