Ready for a Home
Hansel
Male | 6 years old | White & Grey
Hansel is a handsome 6 year old domestic short hair white and grey cat with a spunky
personality. He’s very affectionate and loving but would do best in a home with no other
cats or young children because he can act out of jealousy when he sees others receive
attention. When he’s not being snuggled and cuddled, he’s eating! The moment he hears
you open up a can of wet food or cat treats, he’ll sprint over to you in much anticipation.
The road to Hansel’s heart is defiantly through his stomach.
Panini
Female | 2.5 years old | Calico
Panini came to the shelter pregnant in the spring of 2016. She raised her kittens and has been
waiting since then to find a family. Panini loves to run and play and carry her toys around
with her. She is full of personality and quite a bold girl! There aren’t many cats who will put
up with her, which makes being an only pet the best fit for her. It’s also the reason any kids
she lives with should be at least 12. She wants someone who will play with her and give
her space to explore. She likes to get your attention by knocking things off a shelf and then
pretending it wasn’t her. She also has great dodging and weaving skills when it’s time for her
to go back in her cage. Know anyone who can appreciate Panini for the multi-layered, lively
kitty she is? We would love for her forever family to experience that!
Victor
Male | 8.5 years old | American Bulldog Mix
Victor lived in a home for almost 8 years but his owner had to give him up. When he arrived,
he had no manners. The staff and volunteers knew that he had it in him to be a good dog
so they sent him to two weeks of obedience training. He passed with flying colors! He walks
great on leash and knows all of his obedience commands. He even comes with a couple of
sessions with his new owner/trainer so you can learn everything he knows. Victor is a super
sweet boy that just loves people. He loves to play and be with people, and he prefers all the
attention on him, so no other pets, please. He enjoys a nice walk but also loves just chilling
and hanging out with his family. All he needs is a chance!
Watson
Male | 9.5 years old | Puggle
Watson was at the shelter before and we don’t know what happened but recently he was
found tied to a pole in Chicago. He was there for several hours, but finally ended up going
to a foster home. His foster family put him on a diet. He is back to his original 45 pounds but
could be even healthier and get his joints some relief. He is a good boy, food motivated, and
loves walks although he can’t go very long due to his weight and knees. He is very gentle
with kids and wants to be around you where ever you go. He knows when it is time to eat
and will start whining until you wake up and feed him (usually 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.) The
food he is on is a prescription diet food mixed with a 1/4 can of vegetables with juice added
to give him some extra water and soften the hard food. We will provide an extra bag and
case of his food and 12 cans of his favorite veggies to his new adopter. He loves to sit in your
lap and get attention and love. He made it back here for a reason. Maybe it was to find you!
