City
The city of Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital, is internationally recognised as a destination of choice and is one of
the most inspiring in the world. The birthplace of telephone inventor Alexander Graham Bell and literary great
Robert Louis Stevenson, the city sparks creativity and innovation. Since 1999, Edinburgh has been home to the
national government, with the Scottish Parliament based at the foot of the city’s historic Royal Mile. As well as
being a centre for business and government, Edinburgh also has a major tourism industry with great cultural
events such as the Edinburgh International Festival and a host of sporting events every year. A richly diverse
selection of employers in the city, coupled with Edinburgh Napier’s proud history of links to industry, makes it a
great place to live, learn and work.
