Strategic Prayer for the Nations
Dear intercessor,
I have been thinking of the testimony of my life lately. Maybe our lives are a string of testimonies that make up each of our stories. I looked to Scripture and found this encouragement to give voice to mine:
“ My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. With the mighty deeds of the Lord God I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone” Psalm 71:15-16.
Here are some prayer requests that will end in testimonies of pra ise.
Africa
• Ple ase pray for Bunia in the eastern province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, where our church planters are suffering. T his is ground zero of the growin g Ebola epidemic. Pray for pastors and leaders who are working tirelessly to fight this disease, remembering this is also where war has caused thousands of people to be displaced. God, hear our prayers. Pray for t he health of all workers and those suffering.
• Pray for more than 40 people who have completed two years of Bible study in Mozambique – that they may share boldly what they have learned and live in faith. Pr ay for chiefs and government authorities to surrender their lives to Christ, creating an atmosphere for the Gospel to flourish.
• Intercede for the graduates of one of our 900 + training centers in Africa who will be spreading the Good News in Tanzania. Pray that they spend their full time an d effort on training others and planting churches by the power of the Spirit of God.
Asia / Pacific
• Please pray for successful recruitment of a second group of seminary students in Central Asia. Pray that first- and second-year students will be ready to start in September.
• Pray for people in the northern part of Thailand where burning season means that air quality is dangerous. Pray for everyone’ s health, especially the children, as they sometimes struggle to breathe. Our missionaries living there also covet our prayers.
• Pray for K * as one of our missionaries in Taiwan meets with her. May she understand“ the breadth and length and height and depth”( Ephesians 3: 18, in part) of God’ s love for her in Christ Jesus.
