DQ’s Dinner Quest

In the last few years West Union has had a lot of change by addition and subtraction of businesses. Some of the subtracting has be a loss of “Kum and Go” a gas station and “The Town House.” Now that they are now gone there had to be some adding along the line and not to long after those close we had a new “Dairy Queen!” This Dairy Queen is hard to miss when you drive threw the great town of West Union, Iowa.

The restaurant is located off to the side of a busy four-way intersection that can be seen from this four-way from any angle. However the design of the restaurant is not as appealing on the outside as the inside of the restaurant. The outer side of the restaurant is starting to losses its color and it does not have much to draw people in to the building.

I started at the cashier and in a polite greeting from the worker behind the counter and I started to order my food. I started with a large blizzard with Oreos and cookie dough I also ordered side of large cheese balls. After ordering I took a seat in the first booth I was the only one at Dairy Queen.

After sitting for a short about 15 minutes they final brought me my cheese balls and my ice cream. The first couple of cheese balls were great but getting farther in to the cheese balls the started to taste nasty almost like they were only grease and breading. The ice cream was about the best I had ever had and it was even extra full just because I knew the worker making it for me. This is one of greatest ice cream places in West Union I would say myself.
