T. 01785 254283 Falling leaves and foodie festivities W e may have reached that point in the year when the children are back in the swing of things at school and the nights are all but drawn in for another year, but I don’t think we can really complain about the hand we have been dealt by good old mother nature this summer. This feel good factor has certainly resonated from a national level to a more local one evident in our picture special from a very successful Eccleshall Show held at the end of the summer. This event like many of the community festivals and carnivals held throughout the summer are only made possible year on year thanks to the hard working and dedicated volunteers who put them on, and I for one think they deserve a huge vote of thanks for doing so. Of course the summer maybe over but that certainly doesn’t mean the celebrations stop with October marking the return of Stone’s ever popular Food and Drink Festival. This now renowned event has really put Stone on the map as a centre of excellence for locally produced food and drink, an accolade truely worth celebrating and an event NOT to be missed. See you all there. Deborah x October/November 2013 5
