p up’ at Food and Drink Festival booked for Saturday night service. A joint venture between The Moat House at Acton Trussell and Tittensor’s Old School Wines, the ‘Pop up in the Park’ will provide an elegant addition to festivities. The Piano Bar will serve wine, champagne and cocktails throughout festival opening hours alongside delicious, hand-picked accompaniments from a deli bar while the restaurant, headed up by The Lewis Partnership’s Executive Head Chef Matt Davies, will serve delicious three-course lunches on all three days. On Friday and Saturday evenings, once the main festival gates have closed, it will transform into an independent venue serving four course evening meals and drinks exclusively to customers who pre-book tables. Festival Chairman, Richard Stevens explained: “We’re delighted to be able to add a fine dining experience to the attractions on Westbridge Park over the ‘big weekend’. This is something that has been a long time in the planning, and it’s great to have two first-class partners on board to deliver what looks set to be a very special addition to the festival.” In terms of what diners can expect from the restaurant menu, Chef Matt added: “The theme will be British classics with a modern twist – we’ll be raising the bar and serving food of the standard you would expect in our restaurants, so diners will almost forget that they’re actually in a marquee. “Friday and Saturday lunch menus will offer a selection of dishes to suit all tastes, while on Sunday we’re going for a traditional roast lunch, with a choice of beef or pork alongside fish and vegetarian options. The four course evening menu, meanwhile, has been designed for utter indulgence.” Old School Wines’ Andrew Wilson told Stone and Eccleshall Life: “While the Pop up in the Park will provide something of an escape from the bustle of the main festival site during the day, in the evening, we’re looking to create something truly special. “Cocktails and champagne in the Piano Bar are sure to get the evening off to a good start, and we’ve lined up some very special wines that our sommeliers will be recommending alongside Matt’s beautiful menu. All in all, it’s set to be a real treat for foodies.” The 2013 Stone Food and Drink Festival will take place on Friday 4th, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October; admission to Westbridge Park is £6 per person per day or £15 for a three day ticket. While the Piano Bar and Deli will be open to all visitors during usual festival hours, reservations are strongly advised for lunch in the restaurant on all three days and advance booking is essential for Friday and Saturday evening service.
