MINIBUS REAL ALE TRAIL
A midsummer night’s
dream for real ale fans
hat better way to while away the longest
evening of the year for a real ale fan than
by touring no less than eight of the best
pubs in Stone’s outlying villages? Being
chauffeured around the said pubs in a minibus
with a group of fellow real ale aficionados probably
does it!
The team behind the Stone Food and Drink
Festival are once again marking the summer
solstice with a Midsummer Minibus Real Ale Trail.
Departing The Pheasant on Old Road in Stone at
6.30pm on Saturday 21st June, revellers will board
minibuses that will then take them on a tour of
eight real ale hostelries in the Stone area; offering
the chance to sample (at least) one real ale in each
of the pubs.
This year’s pubs are yet to be formally

announced but, with each landlord laying on some
kind of fare, the trail is expected to be as popular as
ever. Festival chairman, Richard Stevens,
explained: “Our Real Ale Trails always go down a
storm and midsummer is a great excuse to give our
local village pubs a boost. Advance booking is
essential as we’re always over-subscribed, so
ensure you contact us as soon as possible to secure
your tickets.”
Tickets for the Midsummer Real Ale Trail are
£17.50 per person, inclusive of minibus transport
and light buffet refreshment in the pubs. To book
