LIVE AND LOCAL New ‘Live and Local’ tour dates for London’s Philharmonic Orchestra ondon’s Philharmonic Orchestra is delighted to announce two further concerts in its Live and Local tour this April. The concerts, the first in Leicester on 24th April and the second in Stoke-on-Trent on 29th April, form part of the next leg of the Orchestra’s ‘Live and Local’ tour, which was launched in 2013. Once again, the orchestra will be performing with Classic BRIT Award-winning classical guitarist Miloš Karadaglić, and for this pair of concerts will be conducted by LPO Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor Vladimir Jurowski. Thanks to the generous support of long-term corporate partner JTI, all tickets to each concert are just £15 (excluding booking fees). Inspired by the picturesque gardens of the Palace of Aranjuez outside Madrid, Joaquín Rodrigo wrote a colourful, strong yet tranquil evocation of elegance and beauty for guitar and orchestra whose contented, serene beauty is legendary: his Concierto de Aranjuez. Joining the LPO to perform this masterpiece will be classic guitarist Miloš L Karadaglić. Following is Tchaikovsky’s Sixth Symphony, which so encapsulates his ultra-expressive, hearton-sleeve creative outlook. A distraught Tchaikovsky, his disastrous private life torturing him in life and forcing him into death, filled this symphony with honesty and passion - and he committed suicide nine days after its first performance. LPO Principal Conductor and Artistic Director Vladimir Jurowski conducts the Orchestra in these varied concerts, also including Mozart’s joyous Symphony No. 32. London Philharmonic Orchestra presents MILOŠ on Thursday 24th April at 7.30pm at De Montfort Hall in Leicester and on Tuesday 29th April for a 7.30pm performance at the Victoria Hall in Stoke-on-Trent where the audience will enjoy: Mozart Symphony No. 32, Rodrigo Concierto de Aranjuez, Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 6 (Pathétique), Vladimir Jurowski conductor, Miloš Karadaglić guitar, London Philharmonic Orchestra.
