Utilising CSIRO ’ s normalised PATCHKEY landscape condition score , DAF PATCHKEY data indicates that the land condition of the ungrazed and Plot 5 monitoring areas improved in the first three years of sampling . By the low rainfall conditions of the 2020 / 21 season , all plots had similar land condition . This season coincides with a non-graze period of 18 months associated with the remediation of the northern gully area by the Landholders Driving Change project .

The Mt . Pleasant Plot 10 reference site started with a high land condition score and , with a consistent rainfall pattern , a high land condition score was maintained across five years of sampling .
The DAF sampling indicated a low proportion of 3P grasses at the Tabletop sites , although a considerable proportion of seca stylo and , at some sites , exotic perennial grasses , with a dominance of Indian couch . The Mt . Pleasant site had a much higher proportion of 3P grasses .
