Undoubtedly the winter has been remarkably kind to us and spring does not appear to be far away, but this has not stopped the congregation of St Oswald’s, and our Bishop, from suffering from various ailments. Due to the growing sick list, I can confirm that - for the foreseeable future - the 10 am Wednesday morning service has been cancelled. In place of this service, you are asked to take time to say the Lord’s Prayer. We are grateful that Bishop Gregor, Evelyn Gilmour and George Anderson are now at home, recuperating after a period in hospital. We remember those who are still in hospital, or are waiting to go into hospital: Ashley Craddock Robert Fleetwood Betty Smith Archie Stanners For those who strive to regain full health: Shirley Barnwell Bob Gallacher Margaret McKenzie Freda Pearce Peter Scoles Joan Whyteside Anne Young Morag Let us pray for the sick and suffering. Almighty and immortal God, giver of life and health; We beseech thee to hear our prayers for thy servants for whom we implore thy mercy, that by thy blessing upon them and upon those who minister to them of thy healing gifts, they may be restored, if it be thy gracious will, to soundness of health, and give thanks to thee in thy holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. StOM Page 3
