CHURCH ACTIVITIES Central to the life of St Oswald’s is our Sunday worship, but there is also a wide variety of activities based here – from the spiritual to the secular. (Check the weekly planner on page 10 in the magazine). There are many hidden groups and unsung heroes that generally keep things going: The Sacristan and Servers who care for everything around the altar The Flower arrangers dress the building in a riot of colour. The variety of voices of the Readers and Intercessors on a Sunday The Tea and Coffee folk who offer us hospitality after the service Magazine contributors, Editor and distributors who keep all of use up to date with the life of St Oswald’s, topped up with a little history. The Prayer group and Support Network (in planning stage) The history of St Oswald’s is retained and birthdays and anniversaries are acknowledged Those who ensure the Church Property meets all the rules and regulations and will be comfortable for the congregation and others who use the plant throughout the week. Throughout the month of October, on a Sunday morning, a copy of the Congregational Address Book will be on the table at the back of the church. Please check your personal details ESPECIALLY your phone (home &/or mobile numbers) and email address are correct. You will also find columns indicating the jobs you are presently doing and would be great if you could check these are correct. Please amend any errors. Each of these activities provides a chance to get to know people and offer time and talent to the common life of the church do not hesitate to add your name to the lists.
