CONCRETE GARDEN – Growing Together The Concrete Garden is a community project in Possilpark, North Glasgow dedicated to urban food growing and carbon conscious living. The garden is located on land reclaimed from industrial use and is designed in a modular system of grow boxes and bags made from recycled materials. Join the Compost Revolution! Composting food waste reduces the amount of waste that ends up in landfill sites. In the UK we generate 7.2 million tonnes of food waste per year. In landfill air cannot get to the food waste so as it breaks down it produces methane, a harmful greenhouse gas. Composting recycles food waste into a valuable and free plant food and soil improver. www.concretegarden.org.uk Facebook.com/concretegarden St Matthews Centre 200 Balmore Rd Glasgow, G22 6LJ StOM Page 6
