I am going to use the sound I recorded as prayer over the next few weeks. I will ask the Lord to bless the people who made the sound and to keep them coming along to our home, sharing what you have all created at St Oswald’s; a hospitable welcome. I thought about the sound that must have been heard at Pentecost, all of the people chattering in their various languages, and the strong wind blowing around them as the Holy spirt descended and made the Earth home, and all of the people family. We are so very blessed to have such a great and merciful father; even in the times when you may have thought that St Oswald’s was going to close, it did not! Why not? You lot, that is why not!! And a good God who has big plans for this place. Not so big that you all will be lost, after all love does not set people aside, it is accepting and cherishing of all personalities and needs. I think that God has big plans to share the cherishing that has taken root in our church family. And that can happen in small ways. A smile, a hug, a cup of tea, a warm place to be, an ear to hear, a friend to come along with, a shared meal a shared story etc. You and I will be the yeast that grows this Church which is part of Gods kingdom. We will be the salt that flavours the life of the community and preserves the commandment that the Lord gave us. John 13:34-35The Message “Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.” Lesley-ann StOM Page 4
